Well constructed and very stylish, with some caveats
I bought this couch because I was looking for a comfortable midrange couch that was stylish (specifically mid century modern) and high enough quality to last a few years. The less expensive couches that run like $300 felt too cheap and futon-esq, and I thought this would hit a nice balance without going over the $700 mark. I was worried because some reviews are quite negative, but if you look at the date, most of those are older - so I think must have made some improvements.
I mostly got the couch I wanted. I love the look - the green is definitely the right shade of off-emerald (if youre crazy like me and deeply worried about the color, Id say its Pantene shade PMS 350). Its not tacky but still stands out. I like the hardness of it - its firm but I can still enjoy lying on it a lot. It feels quite sturdy. Its well designed and easy to clean. Assembling it was literally screwing in the legs which took <2 mins.
A lot of people I trust have said wonderful things about the look of this couch. My one complaint is that it photographs as higher quality velvet than it looks and feels in person. Im worried it will show wear over time and look matted. Maybe its more chenille than velvet?
I think I am still happy I bought it, but if you have kids, a dog, or a messy SO, I might think twice about it.
Also - lost the couch the first time and I had to talk to several different people (a third party logistics company, customer support, etc) to solve it. But they gave me a 15% discount for the trouble and I still got it within 2 weeks so Ill let it slide.
