I bought this to supplement the Japanese style futon I was already using. (The Japanese futon is basically just a thin mattress you can roll up and get out of the way. The mattress turned out to be too thin for me.) The foam futon is pretty comfortable, but I should have gone for one that was a little wider. The only real mark against this futon is that the fabric is a scratchy nightmare if you have sensory issues. I recommend covering it with more pleasantly textured blankets or a sheet.
