overall it was easy enough for two people to build. its not really comfortable at all, definitely would need to add a topper if you wanted to use as a futon. The biggest thing that concerned us was the small scent beads. We tried cleaning them all out when we first got it but its throughout the entire product so impossible to 100% clean. Our cat ingested a couple and was sick for the next 3 days
