Cheap, sturdy at first but hard to assemble and support poor
Poor packaging, 89/pound box, first one went missing, second one late, then hardware kit not in box when opened, took another week to request missing parts from web site and deliver, not responsive to complaints. Couldnt assemble at first because one of the welded end braces was made too wide, but took it apart and put that piece on bottom and finished assembly by one adult after several hours. Others have noted that bolts are tightened with Allen wrench but dont lose it as there are no lock washers nor nuts to keep bolts tight. Mattress is supported by metal rods in metal frame so the bed is noisy/there are plastic spacers but only to secure the rods not to cushion those joints. support was fine but and UPS get failing grades here. Top bunk 200/pound, lower 250/pound limit, be careful. Bed made in China and looks cheap and institutional. Next time I would shop Room to Go, Ikea, or local Wal/Mart store. It would be hard to repackage this bed and send it back once you unwrap it, so beware.
