We actually like these so much we got two. It did take some time to put together, but so far it has been very sturdy. We have had lots of guests sleep on both the top and bottom (we are all in our 20s) and our cats also love to play on the top (we have 4). In addition, we have used the tops as storage since rubbermaid containers fit on top of them great. The bottom is a perfect height off the ground for more, smaller, storage boxes underneath too if you are short on space.
All in all, I highly recommend this if you have the time and patience to put it together initially.
