Im always a stickler for reading instructions, and this is no exception. If you follow the step by step instructions, it goes together with no problem. The one item I deviated on is that I recommend using a variable drive power drill for the bolts. Instructions say not to, but if you are careful it shouldnt be a problem and avoids some blisters and sore hands, while speeding things up significantly. FYI, the matresses are not included. Also, I didnt use a bunkie board since I had a spring mattress and its fine. Good but could be better
