I ordered two of these tables to act as nightstands. I wanted something that was solid wood and not terribly expensive. When the tables arrived one was packaged better than the other. One table was shrink wrapped and the other wasnt. Thankfully there was no major damage to either. I was happy to see the table is solid unfinished wood. The tabletop felt sturdy. There were some finishing marks and small dings on both, but nothing to warrant a return.
Once I began the assembly process I observed the following:
First / The directions are picture/based. As in here is a picture of how it should look now build it.
Second / One of the bolts that secures the legs to the table was poorly machined. The threads were falling off. I tried to make it work, but ultimately I will need a new bolt. I have a big problem with this since it isnt hard to check your hardware before bagging it.
Third / When screwing the legs to the table the wood creaked as I was bolting things together. I was afraid I would split the wood so I kept things relatively loose.
Forth / The platform below the table top did not have screw holes for attaching the legs to the platform. I used a drill to screw things together. I imagine you could use a screwdriver and do it by hand, but that would be a pain in the wrist. Ideally the company would drill pilot holes like they did on the legs.
Overall I am happy with the tables because they are solid wood and affordable. I doubt I will buy any of this companys other offerings.
