The top bunks headboard and footboard could not attach onto the bunkbed, however, luckily, those were the least important/necessary parts to the assembly of the bunkbed, so I did not need to return everything. Overall, the top bunkbed hasnt collapsed so far, so Id say the sturdiness is fine. This product was cheaper than most, so Im relatively content with it all. Just wish the bunkbed design could have been more comfortable, and the pieces all assembled together better. I was actually pretty disappointed.
