There is a lot to like about this chair, but it also has some negatives. It is a good/looking chair. The lift function is smooth and quiet. The heat and massage work great and allow you to use both at the same time or use just heat or just massage. Now I am going to compare this to our Ly Boy recliner. It is not as plush, soft, and comfortable as the Ly Boy. It is rather firm, maybe even a little hard. When you recline in the Ly Boy, your feet come up because the back and foot section are moving in unison. With this chair, your feet stay where they are, which makes it not as comfortable to recline and watch TV. I have been placing a pillow under my knees and calves, which helps a lot. Im only 52 and this chair has a relatively flat back, allowing me to have my neck in a neutral position, as opposed to the Ly Boy, which has a big puffed/out section on the back that presses my head forward. Thats a deal breaker for me, so this chair wins over the Ly Boy. Lastly, I reached out to Houses customer service and found them to be very customer/oriented. The agent who helped me, Kaia, wanted me to be a happy customer and worked with me to make sure that I was. I recommend this chair as long as you know what to expect and are okay with that. truly easy to install
Good chair with some caveats
