What a horrible bed to put together! It claims it will take 2 people up to 2 hours, wrong. It took almost 8 hours to put together, we had missing bolts, no directions, which required us to contact the company. When we called about the directions, they acted like it was no big deal so we figure that must happen a lot. They emailed them to us and they were 26 pages, lousy diagrams made it even harder. Once the bed was together it looked cute until my 48 lb granddaughter climbed up into the bunk and one of the slats popped out and wont go back in. It seems to short to fit in all the way. I am going to put a board between the mattress and the slats so hopefully pressure on one slat doesnt cause this again. I got the gel mattress 5 inches and the heavy duty mattress for the couch and couldnt be happier with them. The bed might of been fine if someone else would of put it together. However I still wouldnt recommend you try buying it
