My contractor assembled the door, mounted the hardware, and hung the door. I am re/converting a 100 y/o barn into a home. Nothing was built to code during the original conversion of my home. Be sure you have enough space over the door for the hardware we barely squeaked by. The bottom will need to be trimmed off after the new vinyl plank flooring is installed. There are 2 spaces between the boards where light shows thru1 on upper 1/2 and a larger one on lower 1/2 of the door. It doesnt bother me and I wonder if it is a result of the assembly. just fyi. I ordered this because I needed a 48 width door for a bathroom it is perfect for my need, and a very fair price compared to other choices. I left off the 2 planks that are supposed to go diagonally i only used the 1 horizontal plank. I dont like the arrow shape created if all 3 planks are applied. Choose how/where to mount the handle carefully. it can interfere with the opening/closing of the door.
enough top clearance for hardware
