But if you just have the mattress on, there will obviously be another several inches of visible headboard. Its really sturdy and doesnt wobble or creak. Its held up to some intense fun time without any trouble Super easy to put together, but it might be best with 2 people just to help support the long pieces. Took me like 45 minutes with my partner. For the price, quality, and aesthetic, I am super happy with it! Well worth the purchase.
