We got this bed for our three daughters two sleep on the top and one sleeps on the bottom, they love it. Easy assembling but time consuming and much easier if you have two or three people working on it. We used a five inch mattress on both and the bottom is perfect but well be getting a thicker mattress for the top because of a gap on the back of the bed but thats on us not the bed. Very nice
