I LOVE this end table! I also love that it is solid pine and is lightweight enough for me to easily carry across the room alone. The finish wasnt perfect but the rustic look is awesome. It looks even better in person than the pictures. It seems sturdy, and the drawer glides have a soft stop. The bottom of the drawer is the one thing not very strong. It is solid wood like everything else which is nice but very light like balsa wood. It should be fine as long as a kid doesnt step in it. I also really appreciated that it was mostly assembled / much better than the warehouse kits where you have to build it from scratch.
One downside is the sickly sweet smell of the finish / it takes weeks (not days, weeks) before it goes away.
Assembly took 20 minutes including unboxing / it would have been 10 like the instructions say but I tend to be careful. All it took was screwing on the legs and shelf. Total of 12 screws. Some tips: Clean out the screw holes before starting, and try starting each screw by hand. Some of my holes had wood splinter bits in them making them hard to turn. Also leave the legs a little loose until the shelf is started. You build it upside down, and need to fully extend the drawer to get to the leg screw holes. (You dont need to remove the drawer like the instructions imply.) Tighten the screws just enough to engage the locknuts / overtightening can crack the wood. I didnt need any tools other than the included allen wrench / the instructions say youll need a philips screwdriver but you dont. There isnt a lot of room to use the allen wrench but I was able to get them in most of the way by hand. The glides nailed into the bottom of the legs werent all the way in so I tapped them flush before starting. I was able to assemble it alone but it would help to have someone to hold the shelf.
The packaging was excellent with reinforced corners and enough padding to keep everything in perfect condition even with rough shipping. It looks gorgeous and is made well to last for many years. Made in Vietnam.
Solidly made, looks awesome, assembly tips.
