It is firm, which I like, not a plush, sink/in type of sofa. But plenty of space to stretch out and relax and deep enough.
Assembly is a breeze but perhaps not for an elderly person. I did it myself in 5 minutes. I actually attached all the parts and put the legs on last by raising each side. No problem.
Because I wanted to make sure all the parts were correct I paid the deluxe delivery, but in the future would go with the 9.99 option because you actually can not return immediately as advertised by . Nice color and easy to assemble
