Cons: wears quickly and can’t flip bottom cushion.
For the price, this is a better than decent chair and ottoman, but you do get what you pay for.
I picked this particular set because first because of the price, but also because it had an ottoman and what looked like a separate seat cushion. I was thinking, bonus(!) I can flip the cushion to help even the wear and can replace the foam when the original wears out. Well, the bottom of the cushion is a different material and has velcro strips across the underside to help keep it in place. Not a bad design idea, just not what I was expecting. But in the end, this won’t matter as we’ve had the chair for just two months, and the material is already starting to pill from not quite daily, but more than occasional use. These are the two things I was not expecting.
Also yes, this chair is firm, you will not sink into it or think you are sitting in a cloud by any stretch of even the best imagination, but I am totally fine with that. A soft pillow to help fill/support the lower back suits me and my 6’4” husband just fine, but the ottoman is also key in helping provide comfort.
Overall, for around $400 including convenient delivery, I doubt there is a better option anywhere, but this chair isn’t gonna be passed down to your kids or grandkids. Its a great short term fix to add more seating that is stylish for as long as it holds up...we’ll see how long that is!
