At age 80, Im just beginning to be comfortable with the reality of not being self/sufficient any more. This little scooter is fun and it inspires me to go out and do things. Take it to Walmart, Costco, the mall, the Grocery Store and many other fun places. Battery life is good, steering, speed control all work just as you would expect them to. I ordered both a front basket and a larger one to go behind the seat. If you would want to take your scooter along when you go shopping etc, I recommend getting a carrier to go on the back of your car. With it you can be independent and have more fun. The only bad features are the 8 inch tires with no springs, make it difficult to take off road unless you drive slowly and carefully. Also, the wheel span is narrow enough to make it feel as though you are going to tip. Just stay on relatively flat ground and you should be OK. All/in/all, it suits my needs nicely and I recommend it for normal every day use.
