For an Basic item, i was pleasantly surprised. For assembly, each piece was clearly labeled, the assembly instructions were clear, and the hardware was also nicely packaged. The first 3 steps were easy to assemble for 1 person. However, I agree with other reviews that difficulty arrives when having to attach the table top portion to the leg assembly. At this point, assembly is best with 2 people. The most time consuming challenge was screwing in the 4 final bolts inside the tables storage compartment with the supplied Allen key. At this point, you need much patience.
Once assembled, this is a nice piece of Basic furniture. When you lift the top, it locks in place. To lower the top, you need to pull out the locking pin inside the storage compartment. It was well worth the effort to assemble.
However, I am subtracting 1 star because of my disappointment with the delivery. They dumped the item in my driveway and never bothered to at least ring the doorbell to notify me of the delivery. If I hadnt checked delivery status online, then I would never have known that it was sitting in my driveway!! I dont know what is going on with delivery lately! Then online delivery status claims left inside the residences mailbox which I clearly dont understand!?!
