SUMMARY
This is a side/by/side comparison review of this side table by and s ALINRU End Table with Tilting Top. I absolutely love my table and wanted to purchase another; my couch sits pretty low, however, and I wanted a table that was a bit shorter. This table was four dollars less (39.99) than s (43.99), and unfortunately pales in comparison in terms of quality across the board; had I realized the difference in quality, I would not have purchased this item. I recommend looking at s side table before making your purchase.
TABLE TOP
The difference between the quality of the particle board for both table tops was immediately obvious, with s being a bit heavier, more wood/like and stronger visually. s table top itself arrived damaged, with a quarter sized dent on top that was already causing flaking of the veneer when I unwrapped it. This was puzzling considering the packaging, and it seems to have been damaged at the time of packaging. Regardless, when comparing them side/by/side, this table top just doesnt cut it at this price point, especially considering that s table top lifts and has a protective bar that keeps my laptop from slipping when it is raised.
FRAME
frame is wobbly and and so light that it shakily slips on the floor if bumped in the slightest / I wouldnt recommend placing a cup of coffee unless youre able to navigate around it without touching it. s frame is much more sturdy and balanced.
ASSEMBLY
Both were very easy to put together, with s being slightly more complex considering the additional pieces for raising the table top. All of the necessary pieces were present in both boxes, and it probably took me 10/15 minutes to assemble both.
LAST THOUGHTS
All in all, s table is fine and if I wasnt comparing them side/by/side, my review might be more favorable. Again, for the price point, I personally dont recommend it. (Ill likely donate this piece, and will eventually be re/purchasing s end table.
Oh, and dont forget to sit and measure the height to make sure it will work with your furniture / your height! Good luck!
Its ok
