We bought this ceiling for our bedroom. Research indicated we needed a low profile ceiling due to the ceiling height. We also did not want a which had a light which would have added to the depth of the unit . Despite some reviews which expressed concern re noise level, we took the chance and purchased this fan. It works GREAT and we hear absolutely no noise, whether the is running at low, medium or high speed. Installation was a bit difficult due to the double light wiring in our ceiling fixture, but through trial and error with the wires, we were able to install the fan. The cool air from the low speed is more than sufficient for the hot muggy summer nights. The does not come with a remote control, which we do not miss. Using the pull cord is convenient. We are extremely pleased with this purchase and are amed that there is NO noise level.
