You may have read in the other reviews that this is a 2 person job. That is not wrong. I did the assembly by myself, but the pieces are heavy enough that you will need someone to hold the pieces upright for you while you assemble the bed.
That being said, it was incredibly easy to assemble. Its a large bed, and I took a break, but we still got it done in about 4 hours.
The instructions tell you how to assemble the bed with the stairs on either side, so you dont need to worry if you want to assemble it differently than the image, it has 2 sets of instructions for assembly.
The only downside I see, is transportation/reassembly.
It will definitely come apart easier than it went together.
Many of the pieces could be left together so it would be less of a job putting it back together, but I wonder how much structural stability it would lose being put back together.
All in all, my daughter and I are extremely pleased with this bed.
For at least 2 weeks after we put it together, my daughter reminded me every day how much she loved her new bed and the clubhouse under it.
