I like the look of this frame, and its pretty sturdy overall, but Im afraid that the metal slats are spaced too far apart (over 5 inches), which can potentially void the warranty on many mattresses. Not only that, but the the slats dont go all the way to the head and foot of the frame. There are cross bars at the head and foot to which the center support bar is attached, but these are even with the center support bar and thus lower (closer to the ground) than the slats (which sit on top of the center support), which will potentially cause the the head and the foot of the mattress to slope down. This seems like a significant design flaw. Im trying to decide whether I want to return/replace the frame or try to modify it so that there more support and more even support.
