Shipped unassembled and folded tightly in a cardboard carton this futon sofa will comfortably accommodate two normal/sized adults for sitting or sleeping after it has been assembled. If it needs to go upstairs or through a small doorway, my recommendation would be to leave it compressed in the carton while taking it up the stairs or through the doorway. This is a decent, attractive sofa being sold at a competitive price which I can easily recommend. i am enjoying it
