Been using this for almost 6 months now and havent had any issues so far. I had been worried because of the reviews showing the metal support bending, but mine is still holding up. My mattress stays fairly well on the frame. It does slip an inch away at most. In hindsight, I should have bought the standard version. Although I like the way the looks, the clearance between the floor and the frame is only around 6 inches. So if youre planning on using the bottom as storage, I would go with the standard.
It did come with a few minor scratches, but you have to look closely enough to really see them. The color is beautiful, but is a little lighter than what I would expect from expresso. Some of the edges of the frame were also left unstained, which is a little more noticeable than the scratches, but not a big deal for me since the comforter usually covers those areas.
It was fairly easy and quick to assemble with one other person. I didnt have any issues with the instructions. Definitely simpler than putting together furniture. It also came with a little ratchet tool that was really helpful for me to put it together since I usually struggle to tighten things.
