Great setup for our 7 year old grandsons birthday

We like this set as it came with desk, bookcase and 3 drawer chest. It came in three boxes and each one had separate hardware and instructions for the different pieces. I spend about 5 hours total assembling the three pieces and then the bed which connected to each piece. Very well designed set and I had no issues with assembling. The bed is made in Brazil which is probably the first time I had purchased furniture made in Brazil. I would say the quality is much better and the instructions were well written. Highly recommend this bed set.

    It was nice

Took 6 hours to assemble at a semi casual pace. I broke a piece and had to go get wood glue. There is a weird gap between steps and bed so we did a little adjusting so that the child would not fall between the two because of getting hung in the gap. It is a nice bed for what we paid. Cute. The child is over the top happy and the step was a better choice than a ladder by far.

    Upped to a 5-star

Was originally a 1-star review simply because I was missing one T-spacer to complete my drawer and customer service took days to respond. But upon receiving my T-spacer and completing my bed, I have upped it to 5 stars. Very sturdy bed. Great for my amerisleep mattress

    Pain in the butt

I pride myself in being able to put furniture together. This was hands down the longest, biggest pain in my butt of all time, Im talking 4+hours for a solo endeavor. Looks nice but if I had to choose between building another one and dental work with out anesthesia, Id chose the dental work.

Great frame! Instructions could be better.

First off, my son loves this bed frame. The loft is high enough to give me and him some extra space in his room. We live a fairly small house so this helps a lot. Its not too high of a loft where I am going to be worried about his safety getting up and down. There are two things to note. First, the instructions are terrible haha. Just some errors and weird printed image perspectives. Second, if youve got the model with the steps make sure you connect the steps and bed frame half on a flat surface. Its was one of the last steps. I slide a small flat plank under the two ends when I was attaching the brackets so the legs of both would sit flush on the ground. This is really only and issue when connecting them on carpet. The stairs are lighter and will sit higher on the carpet compared to the heavier bed frame. I think this product is a 5/5 at the price I paid for it. Some how I got the frame with the stairs for $370 a couple weeks ago, but now I see it is up to $642. I clearly got a bargain haha. At $642 Id probably give this product a 4/5 rating but its still good.

How to reinforce with pictures. Thank you to other reviewer

I did buy some L brackets on to reinforce the bed. I put pictures on all the corners and the center sections where I put the L brackets. I did put ones on top and bottom with different sizes I also wrapped each plank for the bed in a fabric. This is to avoid scratching with the mattress or with the bed frame. The bed is made out of cheap material. Doing these tips that were provided by another reviewer made the bed indestructible. I did not glue anything just because I wanna be able to take it apart if needed. Just search for L brackets on and buy which ever one you prefer. Thanks

    Not all holes are prepped

We just opened our boxes that got delivered last month. We did not pay the extra money to have someone come and build it for us as we werent ready at that moment to put it together in the kids room. (i really wish I would have paid that money). We have put together numerous things and Id like to think we are pretty good at it. This, this was a joke. We still arent done. 330 minutes it says itll take with two people. Maybe if all the holes were drilled and prepped like they should be it would be different. We just finished with the first two boxes and still have to open the third. About 50% of the holes that the booklet stated should be there, WERE NOT THERE! It says dont use power tools and just a screwdriver, hahaha ok. No, you need power tools when its not prepped for someone to build at home. Not acceptable. I would send it back if I could.

Awesome low loft bed with nitpicks

Overall the bed is very good and my kid loves it. Its very sturdy. It wobbles a bit but its common for loft beds, so I just nailed it to the walls. The screws on the stair hand rail are a bit tedious to tighten because its wedged. My biggest complain would be the third step to get onto the bed. The three stair steps have same height, but the last step going up forgets to account for the mattress thickness. So my kid needs a giant leap, or stepping on the uncomfortable horizontal bar to get onto the bed.
