This is a good, solid choice...
Pros: solid, well made, attractive, and a good value. Not difficult to assemble if you follow the directions, and the inclusion of a small hex ratchet in the box eliminates the need for the typical -type small Allen wrench tool in a wonderful way. The ratchet itself is sturdy enough that it has been added to my permanent house toolkit. Given the total weight of everything together (including a 14-inch memory foam mattress weighing 100 lbs by itself), the images of the bent metal legs in some of the reviews suggest a level of activity that beds were simply not meant to support. Cons: a friend also has a similar design by , but without a headboard. Seeing and assembling that frame is the reason I decided to buy from . However, I was disappointed to see that the design of all four legs on my model is *not* the same as theirs. On their model (without a headboard), all four legs are designed in such a way that the wood leg is working with the metal bolt to carry the weight of the bed. On my model (with a headboard), the two legs nearest the headboard have a different design, so that the weight of the bed is now carried entirely by the metal bolt holding the leg to the frame. In my opinion, they would have been better served to use the exact same design on the legs under the headboard as they did at the foot. That would also have meant changing the mounting of the headboard to a complete bolt-on, but given that the headboard carries only its own weight, that would be all it needed. My concern is purely out of long-term use combined with the fact that I know they could have done it a better way. Changing the design would change the profile of the frame only slightly, and I doubt it would even be noticed without a critical eye. To sum up, this was a good choice in this price range, and my concerns about the sturdiness of the legs under the headboard will likely not be an issue until the frame is more that a few years old.

This frame works great with our memory foam mattress. Super sturdy frame that holds the weight of our king size mattress, my husband and I AND our 2 dogs! Very satisfied with our purchase!

This was easy to assemble and it seems like the company really cares about the product they are putting out. Nice touches with the card inside, extra tool provided and well organized pieces. We are very happy with our purchase. The platform is streamline and perfect for our small space.
Solid purchase
I bought this for use in a guest room. I am a lazy professional furniture maker, and truthfully I could have made a bed myself. But its more fun playing music and relaxing on the porch. This thing went together really easily, its simple, solid (queen size), and really looks OK...I mean whos checking under the bedding? The post in the center will stop it from ever sagging. I chose the pine color.

Solid Wood Bed .and Very Easy to Assemble!
First off, this was the BEST PACKAGED BED EVER. Everything was thoroughly thought through ... the tools to assemble were included, the instructions were simple to follow (with diagrams), the protective styrofoam was cased in plastic - so no mess to vacuum afterward. As for the bed itself ... for the price you could not do better. Solid wood, joints and seams fit together well, and very sturdy. My only squabble is that the finish is not a deep espresso, more like a dark cherry. So, I may need to use some Murphys Oil to darken it a tad. That said, not enough of a disappointment to warrant a return.
